About me

I'm a local government reporter at The Shreveport Times. I write articles and blogs and occasionally shoot photos and video. Mainly, I cover the city of Shreveport and Caddo Parish. That means keeping up with how taxpayer money is spent, what our leaders say and do and how all of that plays out in your neighborhood.

I've worked here since April 2006. For the first two years, I covered crime and mayhem on the late shift.

Before The Times, I was an intern for the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire in Washington, a young readers edition of the Chicago Tribune called RedEye, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

I'm a native of nearby Doyline, La., and earned a degree in mass communication at LSU.
